Weft sealing is applying a sealant to the weft to prevent shedding. Most sealants can be purchased in your local craft store and are used for on fabrics to prevent fraying. The most popular brands that we have tested and approved of are Aleene’s Stop Fraying and June Tailor’s Fray Block. Aleene’s Stop Fraying appear white when wet but dries clear, this product is also thicker so use lightly and spread in thin even layers. June Tailor’s Fray Block has a thinner consistency like nail glue it goes on clear and dries clear but not hard. This product is thin and can run easily. However there are many other brands out there that we have not tested, you can choose what you feel comfortable with. Sealing with Aleenes STOP FRAY
